Department of Languages and Communication Studies

Dr-Omondi-OketchThe primary focus for this department is the implications and applications of linguistic ideas in real life situations. The department introduces key concepts to the understanding of the relationship between language and  society, the use of language in domains of public, private and professional discourse. This department offers Communication Skills as a common unit. Foreign languages like French and German are offered in the department.

Career Prospects:
It is expected that the graduates who are offered course  in Communication Skills and Foreign Languages can find employment in print and electronic media, advertising firms, publishing houses, public relation organizations, translation and interpretation, United Nations Agencies.
